Tim Smith - Conference Speaker

Tim Smith is Chief Executive of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training. ACPET is the national industry association for private providers of post-compulsory education and training and has 1000 members across Australia, of whom more than half operate in the international market. ACPET operates in all states and territories, with permanent offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Tim was formerly an executive in the Victorian Education Department, with responsibility for managing the private higher education provider accreditation and approval process. Tim was Chief of Staff to Education Ministers in the Kennett Government.
